| Chinese Folk Art was formed by Steven Hardy and Xiao Yi (Jason Xiao)
in 1996. We've had several changes since then. Our name
was originally Xinde Jia Kids' Services, but we changed the name to Chinese
Folk Art in the spring of 1999. We've added several new products
in the past few years, and are in the process of adding more products.
We've expanded our market. Our web site has gotten better and better.
Changes have also occurred in our personal lives--in 1998, Steven moved
from Minnesota to West Virginia, and in 1999, Xiao Yi moved from Nanchang,
Jiangxi Province, to Shanghai.
While we offer several products, the peasant paintings produced by artists
working at the Jinshan Academy of Peasant Paintings are our main product.
We have had a close relationship with the Academy since we placed our first
order with them in May 1997. Thousands of imitiation peasant paintings
on the market, but it is important to us that we offer high quality works
of art painted by the peasant artists who designed the paintings.
Our only store is the virtual one you see on the web, but we occasionally
attend events as vendors. If you know of an event where you think
we might be a successful vendor, please let us know! |
